With high security alert in and around Jamia Masjid Srinagar, thousands of people joined the Friday prayers. Although authorities allowed Friday prayers but the main Mirwaiz of the Masjid, Umar Farooq is still under detention and has not been released.
Friday prayers passed off peacefully and after the prayers there was no report of any untoward incident in Downtown Srinagar.
