In order to provide skill training to the youth, in every district of Jammu and Kashmir such training programmes are being held.
Recently The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, inaugurated the first batch of training sessions under the transformative PM Vishwakarma initiative at Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Bandipora.
The inaugural function was attended by ACR Bandipora Shabir Ahmad Wani, Superintendent ITI Sahil Rashid and artisans and crafts persons registered under PM Vishwakarma besides others concerned.
He was apprised that in the first batch of cutting and tailoring, 45 candidates are taken up for basic training of 05 days under PM Vishwakarma.
It was informed that the scheme envisages 05 days basic training and 15 days advanced training with a stipend of Rs. 500 per day and certificate after completion of training.
The DC, in his address, appreciated the female eligible artisans for their interest in capacity building programmes of the Government. He said the PM Vishwakarma scheme is meant to provide a common platform to the artisans and crafts persons.
Highlighting the benefits of PM Vishwakarma, the DC said that the scheme provides an opportunity to enhance working conditions and economic conditions of artisans and crafts persons besides providing recognition to artisans and crafts persons through PM Vishwakarma certificate.
