Recently Deputy Commissioner/District Election Officer (DEO), convened a meeting with representatives of political parties at the mini-secretariat Kulgam.
The meeting was aimed to sensitize political parties about the rules and regulations governing the election, ensuring a free, fair, and transparent electoral process.
He stressed the importance of strict adherence to the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) and urged political parties to comply with the guidelines established by the ECI.
He requested them to apply online for permissions through the Suvidha Candidates app and reach out to the 24×7 Control Room with any grievances through the toll-free number 1950.
The DC and SSP assured absolutely free and fair elections in the district.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to uphold democratic values and ensure a smooth conduct of the upcoming election.
The meeting was attended by SSP Kulgam, Sahil Sarangal; ADDC, Bashir Ahmad Wani; ADC, Viqar Ahmad Giri; A-SP, ROs from all three Assembly Constituencies, AROs, and other concerned officers.
