On the directions of Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, Cabinet Ministers, Sakeena Itoo and Javed Ahmad Dar, recently visited frontier district Baramulla and took stock of the ongoing situation due to cross border shelling.
During the visit, the Ministers visited GMC Baramulla and enquired about the well being of citizens injured in the recent shelling incidents. They expressed solidarity with the injured victims and their family members.
The Ministers directed the medical staff of the hospital to provide immediate and effective treatment to the injured citizens. They assured the victims and their family members that the Government stands with them in these difficult times and we are committed to their well being.
The Ministers also visited Uri and took on-spot assessment of various areas affected by ongoing shelling. They met the affected families and directed authorities to prioritize civilian safety and ensure swift rehabilitation efforts of affected families.
The Ministers met the grieving family of Nargis, a young woman killed during the ongoing shelling. They offered condolences to the affected family and assured them every possible support and assistance from the government. They also met other affected families in Uri and directed authorities to prioritize civilian safety and swift rehabilitation efforts.
