Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar recently said in Srinagar while talking to the media that train service will be a game changer for Kashmir horticulture and allied sectors.

He announced that the Vande Bharat train connecting Jammu and Kashmir to the rest of India will revolutionize the transportation of fruits and vegetables from J&K.

This development will particularly benefit the fruit industry in Kashmir, enabling apples and other produce to reach every corner of the country efficiently.

The Vande Bharat train will alleviate the burden on trucks, which previously transported fruits and vegetables to other parts of the country.

With the train’s connectivity, Kashmir’s produce will no longer remain stuck in transit, ensuring timely delivery to consumers across India.

This is expected to benefit local farmers and businesses, contributing to the J&K’s economic growth.

The development is part of the government’s efforts to enhance infrastructure and promote economic development in Jammu and Kashmir.

The J&K has seen significant investments in transportation and logistics, aiming to improve connectivity and facilitate business operations. The Vande Bharat train is a step towards achieving this goal, and its impact is expected to be felt across J&K’s economy.
