BJP Bandipora face shot dead along with brother and father

In a deadly attack from militants in North Kashmir BJP district president, his father and brother have been killed.

Police sources told News Agency KNT that at about 2100 hours this evening, militants fired upon district BJP president Wasim Ahmed Bari outside his shop near police station Bandipora.

In the militant shootout his brother Umar and father Bashir Ahmed also sustained injuries and were shifted to Bandipora hospital where all the three succumbed to their injuries.

The deadly attack was followed by a crackdown, however, militants managed to escape from the spot.

Bari was a known BJP face in Bandipora. He was a protected person. (Details emerging) (KNT)
