The Government of India has allowed another delegation to Jammu and Kashmir of foreign envoys so that they can understand the situation on the ground.
Amid tight security and a lot of precautions, the local administration and police were busy in making the arrangements for their meetings and stay.
Earlier the central government has allowed foreign ambassadors to visit Kashmir valley after the abrogation of article 370, on August 5, 2019. The political leadership especially the mainstream camp has not shown any indication that they have been invited to meet this delegation so far.
The Parliamentary delegation was not allowed in 2019, and most of the opposition leaders were sent back from Srinagar airport as the government indicated that it could have a prevailing breach of peace in the volatile Kashmir valley at that point of time.
Recently Home Minister Amit Shah’s latest session of parliament said that opposition wants to only do politics on Kashmir and claimed that situation has improved and Kashmir was on the part of progress and development.
What would be the impact of this foreign envoys delegation on the situation of Kashmir or on the diplomatic front as New Delhi is keen that misconceptions about Kashmir are removed among the ambassadors of different countries especially European countries.
