The Peoples Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) which is facing a lot of pulls and pressures on the political horizon is going to hold its crucial meeting in Jammu on December 21 at the residence of the chairman Farooq Abdullah.

Earlier Omar Abdullah during his public meetings has asked the political leaders of Jammu and Kashmir to keep this united platform alive so that their voice is not divided or weakened by New Delhi.

Omar Abdullah has also claimed that BJP is going to help in floating more regional political parties so that in the coming assembly of Jammu and Kashmir they can pass a resolution for the endorsement of all its decisions on August 05, 2019.

Omar claimed that BJP is working in this direction on the ground in Jammu and Kashmir and cautioned people and political forces about the machinations of BJP to weaken their voice.

In this backdrop the proposed PAGD meeting at Jammu has a lot of significance as the leadership of this platform is trying to fight back all the what they call as conspiracies by New Delhi to divide the political voices in Jammu and Kashmir for their agenda.

The main rift which is emerging between the two main political parties of PAGD that is PDP and NC is the decision of the National Conference to participate in the meeting of the delimitation commission. Mehbooba Mufti has already said that it is a BJP sponsored exercise to help the party in Jammu region and to weaken the position of Kashmir.
