While Tuesday witnessed rains and light snowfall in Srinagar and other plains of Kashmir valley, weatherman has predicted that there is a possibility of heavy snowfall to start from midnight today and this spell of snow according to him is going to remain till Wednesday.
J&K weather face known as Sonam Lotus has been quoted by news agencies saying that there is going to be heavy snowfall which will start from midnight.
He has however, predicted that weather conditions will remain dry on Jan 6 and 7, will mainly improve from Jan 09
Talking to (KNS), Director Meteorological department Srinagar, Sonum Lotus on Tuesday said that there is possibility of snowfall with heavy intensity from midnight and the weather will remain mostly wet till tomorrow.
Talking (KNS), Lotus said that the weather will remain dry from Thursday to Friday with possibility of light snowfall and rain from Friday midnight.
He said that till now no heavy snowfall has been recorded in any part of the Valley, but the intensity will increase from midnight tonight, while light snowfall has also been recorded in Ladakh.
He further said that mostly the weather will improve by the next week from January 09.
