In order to provide the drainage system in Srinagar city and on its preferies the administration has started many projects so that during the rainy season such low lying colonies do not get water logged.
Recently Div Com Kashmir visited SDA Colony Noorbagh; inspected roads, drainage systems in that area. He issued on spot directions to address grievances of residents
He was apprised by the residents about the difficulties faced by them due to the defunct drainage system which has led to inundation of roads.
The locals said that it has become difficult for people to commute through these inundated roads which adds to their hardships.
He issued on spot directions for redressal of grievances faced by residents.
He directed the concerned department to expedite construction of the sewage treatment plant and make it functional by March, 2022.
He directed reparation of the road and drainage system to ameliorate problems confronted by Colony.
There are many such low lying colonies in Srinagar city which need a proper drainage system and the government will have to make more sewerage treatment plants so that the excess water from such colonies is drained out whenever the water level goes up.
