In order to protect the State land from the encroachers every Deputy Commissioner in Jammu and Kashmir is reviewing the functioning of revenue department.
Recently Deputy Commissioner (DC) chaired a meeting of revenue officers at Mini Secretariat, here to review the status of various revenue matters.
He took a comprehensive review of digitization of Jamabandis, encroachment, PSGA Services, e-Office in revenue offices, pending Mutations, allotment of land to landless and other related issues.
He directed all Tehsildars to ensure the functioning of e-Office in all concerned offices and organise awareness programs/camps in all Tehsils of district Bandipora and further asked them to monitor these camps.
He emphasized that revenue officers/officials are stewards of Government Land, and it is imperative to handle it with heightened responsibility.
During the review of encroachment status, the DC directed the concerned revenue officers to take decisive action against any instances of Government Land encroachment, ensuring that no such encroachments occur.
