In a concerted effort to streamline the developmental landscape and address inter-departmental challenges, District Development Commissioner (DDC) Rajouri, recently chaired a comprehensive review meeting at Dak Bungalow Rajouri. The meeting was focused on public welfare schemes, infrastructure projects, and resolving land issues that have slowed the progress of key initiatives.

He emphasized the importance of addressing land-related challenges that are obstructing the advancement of developmental schemes across the district. He urged concerned departments to expedite resolutions to ensure project timelines remain on track.

He directed officials to initiate the revision of panchayat electoral rolls. Special camps will be organized on Saturday and Sunday to facilitate this process, enhancing the accuracy and inclusivity of voter lists.

He reviewed the status of various schemes under the Rural Development Department (RDD), stressing the importance of timely payments, physical verification of MGNREGA works, and thorough social audits. He further emphasized the completion of PMAY houses to support the region’s housing goals.

To ensure public access to panchayat services, the DC directed to issue a roster, detailing the schedule during which Village Level Workers (VLWs) and Gram Rozgar Sewaks (GRSs) will be available at panchayat offices.
