In order to take stock of the preparations for the upcoming Budget Session of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, scheduled to commence on March 3, 2025, the Commissioner Secretary Information Technology Department conducted a comprehensive inspection of the internet connectivity infrastructure at the Legislative Assembly Complex in Jammu.
The inspection was led by Commissioner Secretary, Information Technology, Saurabh Bhagat, to ensure the digital infrastructure was fully prepared for a seamless and efficient legislative session.
He emphasised the importance of a robust IT framework in facilitating legislative proceedings. He directed that the Assembly hall, along with all essential rooms within the complex, including areas designated for media personnel and the general public, be equipped with necessary Access Points (APs) to provide uninterrupted internet connectivity. Ensuring seamless digital communication and real-time access to information is priority of the department for smooth functioning of the assembly.
He instructed CEO JaKeGA, Rupesh Kumar and Jaskaran Singh Modi, SIO NIC, to oversee and implement measures to guarantee uninterrupted connectivity throughout the Budget session.
The CEO JaKeGA, mentioned that an additional redundant internet link of 5 Gbps has been provisioned in the Assembly Hall besides the primary 1 Gbps NIC link.
