Meeting venue snub on BJP order: CJP alleges pressure forces Delhi gathering to park

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) on Wednesday alleged that it was forced to hold a meeting in a park after the owners of a hall were pressured by the BJP to disallow them from organising a gathering there.

“They (BJP) thought that if they intimidated venue owners, we wouldn’t be able to hold the meeting,” Dipke said.

Earlier, he had told reporters that CJP members needed an indoor venue to meet volunteers in Delhi.

“We approached owners of several places, but no one was willing to give us a hall. Everyone said there was pressure from above and that they could not give a hall to CJP members…. Finally, with great difficulty, we managed to get this hall, and this is the receipt for it,” Dipke told reporters.

“But this (Wednesday) morning, the people who gave us the hall were also threatened and told that if they allowed a CJP meeting to take place there, they would be turned upside down and hanged,” Dipke claimed.He said the way people were being “intimidated and threatened clearly shows that the BJP is afraid of the youth of the country”.

CJP spokesperson Ratna Singh told The Telegraph that they went to a nearby park to hold the meeting, but some troublemakers reached the spot and threatened them. She said the CJP complained to the police, who stood as “mute spectators instead of taking action”.

“People were commenting on Instagram, asking when Season 2 of ‘Jantar-Mantar’ would begin. I want to let them know that Season 2 of ‘Jantar-Mantar’ is going to start very soon,” Dipke said at the meeting.
