Teenager, civilian succumb after hit by security bullets near Shopian gunfight

Srinagar: Police confirmed that among the injured near the Badhigham village of Shopian, two have succumbed to their injuries. Teenage boy identified as Asif Ahmed Mir a resident of Rohomo village of Pulwama succumbed to his injuries in Srinagar hospital. District hospital of Shopian confirmed that body of a civilian was lying in the hospital as he had received critical bullet wound as army and security forces opened fire on protesters.
Latest reports from Shopian and Pulwama said that protests have swelled at many places and two fire service vehicles were torched by protesters so far. Reports said that dozens of protesters were wounded in the clashes and some of them seriously. Many injured protesters were being referred to Srinagar hospitals.
