Yatra suspended, Internet off on Burhan anniversary in Kashmir

As a precautionry measure authorities on Sunday did not allow Amarnath yatiris to proceed from Jammu to kashmir on Burhan wani death anniversary. Police and security forces imposed curfew and restrictions in Srinagar and other parts of a kashmir valley to prevent protests and violence as Burhan has become a new rallying point for the separatists sentiment in Kashmir.
Authorities on Sunday continued with suspension of rail service. On Sunday  there are reports of protests in south kashmir despite the restrictions. On Saturday authorities suspended internet services first in south kashmir and then in Srinagar after army allegedly killed a teenage girl and two boys by directly firing on protesters in Kulgham. On Sunday the authorities have suspended Internet services in Kashmir and have slashed the speed of broadband service to prevent any rumors or videos to circulate which can trigger protests and violence. Police on saturday arrested Yasin Malik and have kept under house arrest Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Syed Ali Geelani as JRL leaders were scheduled to organise a public meeting in Tral in connection with Burhan wani anniversary.
