Forces launch cordon in Kupwara forest

Srinagar: Government forces on Saturday afternoon launched a massive cordon and search operation in Halmatpora forest area of northern Kashmir’s Kupwara district following reports of suspicious movement.

Reports said that a joint team of army’s 41RR and SOG cordoned off Check FatehKhan forests in Halmatpora.

An army official said that the searches in the area have been launched following suspicious movement.

SSP Shriram Ambarkar also confirmed that forces launched a search operation in the area.(GNS)
