Srinagar, : The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed charge sheet on Monday in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM), Srinagar, against former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Farooq Abdullah and other accused in the multi-crore Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) scam. Abdullah was out of the country when the charge sheet was filed today.
Earlier, on Thursday, the CBI could not file the charge sheet as all the accused were not present at that time. The court had directed CBI that the accused should be present in the court while filing the charge sheet. Abdullah, who was the chairman of JKCA and other accused were out the country which caused a delay in filing the charge sheet.
