Militants attack NC leader’s vehicle in Pulwama, kill guard, decamp with rifles

Srinagar: Suspected militants on Monday fired at the car of National Conference leader Gh Mohiudin at Murran in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, killing his personal security officer and leaving another injured.

However, two of his personal security officers (PSOs) were critically injured in the attack, he said. “The attackers also decamped with two rifles,” he said.

Two PSO’s guarding him, were critically injured in the militant attack who were hospitalized however one among them succumbed immediately. He has been identified as Mudassir Ahmad. The other guard, identified as Nazir Ahmad has been referred to Srinagar for advanced treatment.

SSP Pulwama Mohd Aslam Choudhary also confirmed the attack and death of the constable Mudasir Ahmad, GNS reported.
