Seven injured after passenger cab turns turtle in Uri

Srinagar : At least seven persons were injured in a road accident at Garkote village near Magray Mode in URI town of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Reports said that a passenger sumo bearing registration number no JK11 2844 on way to Uri town turned turtle in Garkote village near Magray Mode area when the driver lost control over it while negotiating a curve, resulting into injuries to seven passengers.

The injured were identified as Noor Mohammad Dader son of Noor Din Dader 65,Zahoor Ahmad Naik son of  Abdul Rashid Naik , Naseer Ahmad Malik son of  Abdul Aziz Malik, Shafiq Ahmad Mughal son of  Mohammad Rafiq Mughal, Bashrat Ahmad Chach son of  Abdul Rashid Chachi, Nasreena daughter of  Mohammad Din Chachi  and Mugli Begum wife of Mohammad Din Chachi all  residents of Garakote village of Uri.

An official said the driver escaped from the spot after the accident.

The injured were shifted to sub-district hospital Uri for treatment where from Noor Muhammad was referred to district hospital Baramulla for specialised treatment, he said.
