Srinagar : Police have sought help from the general people to identify the dead body recovered from Dal near Dhobi-Ghat Dargah area of the Srinagar city.
A police spokesperson in a statement said: “Today Police Station Nigeen in the morning got information from a reliable source that an unidentified male dead body is lying in Dal near Dhobi-Ghat Dargah.”
“Police took the body in possession and has been kept in a mortuary in PCR Hospital for identification,” the spokesman said.
“In this connection proceedings under section 174 CrPC have been initiated by police station Nigeen,” he said.
“Till this time none came forward to identify and to claim the body,” the spokesman said.
“If anybody has any information regarding the identity of the dead body may kindly inform Police Station Nigeen, Srinagar on 9596770590 or PCR Srinagar on 9596222550, 9596222551, or Police Control Room Kashmir on ” Dial 100″,” said police spokesman in a statement.
