Clashes erupt in slain militants’ village at Pahalgam, 10 injured

Srinagar: Intense clashes erupted in Yenned village of Pahalgam in Southern Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Saturday afternoon where thousands of people have assembled to participate in the funeral prayers of slain militant Arif Ahmad Mir. Mir’s body is yet to reach his native village.

Reports reaching Muslim kashmir said that at least 10 civilian protesters have suffered injuries during the clashes, most of them with pellets.

Hospital sources at SDH Sallar, where the injured have been shifted, told Kashmir Reader that the government forces have blocked the movement of ambulances in the area.

They said that two ambulance drivers have also been beaten by the government forces
