Unknown gunmen allegedly thrash two boys in South Kashmir

Srinagar: Two youth abducted by unidentified gunmen from their homes in Khodwani area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district have been released after being thrashed mercilessly, sources said on Wednesday.

Official sources said that two boys identified as Aarif Ahmad Sofi of Khudwani and Mehraj Ahmad Dar of Hawoora, Kulgam were abducted by unknown gunmen.

One of the abducted boys, Sofi was later brought to SHMS hospital Srinagar in a serious condition. As per eyewitnesses Sofi’s body is full of torture marks and is being treated at the hospital.

Another person, Mehraj Ahmed who was kidnapped along with Sofi, was reportedly let off immediately after a while.
