Waheed Parra attacked, escapes unhurt

Srinagar: The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) youth leader, Waheed Rahman Parra was attacked by unknown gunman in the Handjan area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

Parra said his bullet-proof vehicle was attacked by bike-borne gunmen at around 7:30 pm near Chadoora. “I escaped unhurt and the bullets hit the vehicle,” he said.

Parra was returning from a condolence meeting when the attack took place.
A police official said they have taken cognisance of the incident. “We are investigating it,” he said.
