Srinagar : Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) on Friday deferred the strike call issued for August 26 and 27 to support Article 35-A.
The JRL comprising Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Yasin Malik has now asked people to observe shutdown on August 30 and 31.
“As the Supreme Court of India is now hearing the case challenging the state subject law of J&K on 31st August as such the statewide protest hartal by JRL against this nefarious move will now be observed on 30th & 31st Aug. However protests by different segments of society will continue,” said Mirwaiz on Twitter.
During August 6 hearing, the Supreme Court had adjourned the matter till the last week of August.
