Srinagar : Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday claimed to have arrested five gamblers and seized stake money of Rs. 74,960 from their possession.
The spokesman said acting on a specific information, a police party of Police Post Nehru Park raided a gambling site at Kohna Khan Dalgate and arrested 5 gamblers.
“Stake money of Rs 74,960 and playing cards were also recovered from the gambling site,” he said.
“In this regard, a case FIR No 64/2018 under section 13 Gambling Act stands was registered in Police Station Ram Munshi Bagh and investigation htaken up,” the spokesman in a statement said.
