Srinagar: Police on Thursday claimed to have arrested five gamblers and recovered stake money of Rupees 12,820 from their possession.
A police spokesperson said that a team headed by SHO Khanyar raided a gambling site near the shrine of Dastageer Sahib.
“During the raid, five gamblers were arrested and stake money of Rupees 12,820 was recovered from the spot,” the spokesperson said.
The spokesperson said that a case FIR number 73/2018 under relevant sections of law has been registered against the accused.
