Srinagar : Two militants were killed in an ongoing gunfight in Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Tuesday, army said.
“Two militants were killed in the ongoing operation,” said an army spokesman.
Sources said that identity of the slain militants was being ascertained.
Earlier a gunfight broke out between militants and forces after a joint team of army, SOG and CRPF personnel laid a siege around Nowpora area of Tujjar in Sopore late last night.
The gunfight however started today morning after hiding militants opened fire on the search party.
