Srinagar : Police on Wednesday arrested a drug peddler and recovered a huge quantity of poppy straw from his possession in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
The spokesman said that acting on specific information, a police party arrested a drug peddler at Lassipora area, and 96 kilograms of poppy straw was recovered from his possession, besides, a load carrier was also seized.
Meanwhile, police have registered a case FIR number 38/2018 under relevant sections of law and further investigations have been taken up.
