Independent candidates win 13 wards in Ganderbal

Srinagar: Independent candidates have swept the Ganderbal Municipal Committee elections.

Officials said for the 13 wards out of 17 independents were declared winners while Congress and BJP secured 2 wards each.

They said that five of the 17 wards remained uncontested out of which four have been won by independent candidates unopposed while 1 ward was secured by a congress candidate unopposed.
