Gunfight rages in south Kashmir’s Tral village

Srinagar : Gunfight rages in Mandoora area of Tral in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Tuesday afternoon.

Reports said that a joint team of 42RR, SOG and 180 BN CRPF launched cordon and search operation in the Mandoora area on specific information about the presence of some militants.

As the joint team of forces intensified searches towards suspected spot the hiding militants fired upon government forces triggering an encounter. Till this report was filed intermittent firing was going on.

Meanwhile, JK Police took to the twitter and wrote: “Exchange of fire at Chaanketaar area of Tral, details will follow.”
