Pulwama Encounter : Slain militants identified

Pulwama: The three militants slain in a gunfight with government forces at Kharpora village of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district include a former army man who deserted the army ranks and joined militancy.

Identified as Zahoor Ahmad, the slain deserted Army and joined militant ranks in early 2017.

Another two slain militants have been identified as Adnan alias Tahir Hizbi, a resident of Karimabad and Bilal Ahmad alias Hashim, a resident of Rajpora. All the three were associated with Hizb-ul-Mujahideen.

The trio were killed in a fierce gunfight with forces at Sirnoo. An Army man was also killed in the gunfight.
