Unabated cold wave in Kashmir, Ladakh in deep freeze

Srinagar: An unabated cold wave continues in the Kashmir Valley on Wednesday, with Ladakh plunging into a deep freeze and Kargil recording minus 14.9 degrees Celsius.

The minimum temperature was minus 2.8 in Srinagar, while it was minus 8.4 and minus 4.0 in Pahalgam and Gulmarg, respectively. Kargil was the coldest town at minus 14.9 while Leh recorded minus 6 degrees Celsius.

Kokernag town recorded a low of minus 3.4 degrees Celsius while Kupwara town in north Kashmir registered a low of minus 4.6 degrees Celsius last night.

Jammu city recorded 6.0, Katra 7.0, Batote 3.3, Banihal minus 0.5, Bhaderwah minus 0.4 and Udhampur 1.4 degrees Celsius.
