KARGIL:From the last four days Kargil Ladakh is burning and people are protesting in different ways to show their anger for the negligence and discrimination made by the Government by giving the newly announced Ladakh Division Headquarters at Leh under SRO 110.

The whole Kargil District observed Bandh and all the offices, business establishments and transport union supporting the call given by Coordination Committee for Civil Disobedience against SRO 110.

Acting CEC LAHDC Kargil Nasir Hussain Munshi himself visited Baroo Kargil and ensured that all the government departments are closed or not along with other members.

While talking to Media Social Activist and Senior Journalist Sajjad Kargili said that the approach of the Governor is autocratic and they are not ready to listen towards the public grievance. He further told that the Governor is fully responsible for creating an atmosphere of Polarization in peaceful and strategically important region of India Ladakh.

Similarly, on the call of the Coordination committee a protest rally was taken from Karbala Complex Residency Road Jammu and concluded at Press Club Jammu in which more than 5000 men, women and children participated along with all the political leaders including Chairman J&K Legislative Council Haji Anayat Ali and CEC LAHDC Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan.

Creating a separate administrative division for Ladakh with its permanent headquarters at Leh is backfiring on the center. Two days after the government issued the controversial order, thousands of Kargil residents marched in the bone-chilling cold to demand that the decision be reviewed immediately. They have refused to be part of the newly created division unless there is six-month rotation of offices between Leh and Kargil.

According to the order, the administration has sanctioned the creation of a separate administrative and revenue division comprising Leh and Kargil districts with its headquarters at Leh. Ladakh was part of Kashmir division until now.
