Traffic authorities on Wednesday morning said that Srinagar Jammu highway was restored for one way traffic. The highway remained shut for a week leading to choas in valley markets with acute shortage of essential supplies.
Reports said that more than 1200 trucks were allowed to proceed to Srinagar containg essential supplies. Earlier on Tuesday evening all the stranded vehicles were allowed to proceed to kashmir valley.
It is in place to mention that there is acute shortage of essential drugs, baby food and milk in Srinagar city and other parts of Kashmir valley.
