Fresh landslides block highway on Friday

Traffic officials in Srinagar said that due to fresh landslides in Panthal stretch on Srinagar Jammu highway on Friday.traffic was stopped to clear the debris. Authorities have also said that Srinagar Jammu highway will remain closed for traffic today. Highway remained shut for a week and was restored only for two days. The closure of highway will be a bad news for few thousand kashmir stranded passengers who are still in Jammu waiting for highway to be restored fully.
Authorities have closed highway after heavy rains overnight triggered fresh landslides in panthal stretch of highway in Ramban district. More details are awaited.
