All stranded vehicles cleared highway reopens today

Authorities responsible for cleaning Srinagar Jammu highway said on Sunday morning that they have cleared over 2000 stranded vehicles and they have reached to Srinagar. Talking to this reporter a senior traffic officer on duty at Ramban said that hundreds of trucks laden with essential supplies were cleared from his sector by Saturday night. He said that only one way traffic is being allowed on Sunday from Jammu to Srinagar. When asked about the frequent closure of Srinagar Jammu highway he said that due to heavy rains in the past few days. Almost on daily basis fresh landslides were coming down on the highway from Ramban to ramsoo belt. He said that men and machinery were ready to face any more landslides in this sector.
