Army man killed, three injured in cross-LoC firing in Rajouri

RAJOURI — An army soldier was killed while as three others were injured  in cross border firing along LoC in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Reports said that the armies of India and Pakistan exchanged heavy fire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Keri Battal of Sunderbani sector in Rajouri.

“Pakistan army in violation of ceasefire opened unprovoked fire and mortar shells resulting into the killing of one soldier and injuries to three others,” said an army official.

“The soldiers manning the fence responded the fire effectively,” he added.

The firing started at 05:30 am and continued till 07:15 am, the official said.
