Srinagar: The armies of India and Pakistan exchanged heavy gunfire on Tuesday along the Line of Control in Keri area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district. The fresh shelling began after a lull of about three days.
Officials said that the firing started at about midnight and continued till 4 in the morning.
“Heavy mortar shelling also took place during shelling and both sides exchanged heavy gun fire and mortar shelling in the area,” the official said.
