Srinagar: Government forces launched a cordon and search operation at a village in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Wednesday morning.
A police official said that a joint team of army, SOG and Central Reserved Police Force personnel laid a seige around Trenz village and began a door to door search operation.
They said the CASO was launched in the village following inputs about the presence of militants.
Sources said that large numbers of forces have been deployed in the area and door to door search operation is going on.
