Ganderbal parts shut for third day to mourn militant killing

Srinagar : A complete shutdown is being observed in parts of Ganderbal district including Nunner and its adjoining areas on third consecutive day to mourn the killing of a local student-turned-militant Rahil Rashid Sheikh. 

On Saturday, a local student-turned-militant Rahil Rashid Sheikh of Nuner village in Ganderbal district was killed during an encounter with government forces in Shopian district of south Kashmir.

Reports said that all the Shops and other business establishments in parts of Ganderbal remain closed on the third day. However, private vehicles were seen plying on the roads.

On Sunday and Monday, the district observed a complete shutdown to mourn the killing of a slain militant.
