SRINAGAR : Over twenty-nine percent votes were polled till 1 pm in Srinagar and Udhampur parliamentary seats of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said.
The polling percentage at 1 pm in Budgam is 11.4% followed by Ganderbal at 11.0% and Srinagar registered 4.8%.
In Udhampur Parliamentary Constituency Reasi district recorded 49.2%, Kathua 49.7%, Udhampur district recorded 48.7%, Ramban 39.3%, Doda 43.2% and Kishtwar district recorded 39.3% polling till 1 pm.
Officials said that the overall poll percentage in the state is 29.6% up to 1.00 p.m.
In Amira Kadal assembly constituency only 20 votes were polled out of 610 in 09 Barbarshah polling station housed at SP College.
The Srinagar Parliamentary constituency is spread over 15 Assembly segments comprising three districts of Central Kashmir-Ganderbal, Srinagar and Budgam with 1,295,304 registered voters including 1,294,560 General voters and 744 service voters.
The authorities have set up 1716 polling stations across the Parliamentary constituency to facilitate the polling.
Meanwhile, a complete shutdown is being observed in polling bound areas of the valley.
