SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir recorded nearly 38 per cent polling till 3 pm in Udhampur and Srinagar Lok Sabha constituencies, a poll official said.
Udhampur Lok Sabha constituency recorded 58.13 percent polling, with Kathua district registering the highest of 64.6 percent polling till 3 pm, he said.
Srinagar Lok Sabha constituency recorded 12.4 per cent polling, with highest 17.1 per cent polling recorded in Budgam district till 3 pm.
Earlier during the day government forces opened fire on protesters in Hafroo Village of Chadoora Township in central Kashmir’s Budgam district leading injuries to three persons, where youth pelted stones on the forces deployed in the area for polling.
Clashes also erupted in several parts of the district amid polling for the second phase of parliamentary polls in Jammu and Kashmir.
