LS Polls: Amid poll boycott clashes erupt in Kulgam’s Qoimoh, Bugam

SRINAGAR: Clashes erupt between government forces and youth in Qaimoh area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Monday, where polling is underway for Anantnag Lok Sabha constituency.

Reports said that at many places youth have errected barricades on roads to halt the government forces movement.

Witnesses said that forces deployed in the area swung into action and fired tear smoke shells to quell the protesting youth.

Similarly, reports are coming from Bugam area of the district, where people threw stones at Government Higher Secondary School Bugam where five polling has been set up.

Forces deployed in the area retaliated by firing tear smoke shells to disperse the youth.
