Srinagar: A shutdown is being observed in Budgam and Magam towns in Budgam district of central Kashmir against the alleged rape of a three-year-old girl in Sumbal area of Bandipora district in north Kashmir.
Reports said that all the business establishments and educational institutions remained close while traffic is also off the roads in both the towns.
Adequate forces have also been deployed at sensitive points in both the towns to thawart any law and order problem.
Reports said that authorities have also imposed restrictions in the two towns as a precautionary measure.
Internet services also continue to remain suspended in Budgam district.
