Curfew relaxed in Bhaderwah town

Srinagar : The authorities Monday relaxed curfew for five hours between 10 am to 3 pm in the entire Bhaderwah town where it was imposed on Thursday following massive protests over the killing of an elderly man.

However, prohibitory orders will remain in force to maintain law and order.

District Magistrate, Doda, Dr Sagar Dattaray Doifode, initially ordered relaxation in the curfew in the entire city from 10 AM to 11 AM and later extended till 3 PM as no untoward incident was reported from anywhere.

Bhaderwah has been under curfew for the last four days following the killing of Nayeem Shah, who was allegedly shot dead by cow vigilantes in the Nalthi area of Bhaderwah on Thursday.
