Rain has delayed the toss for the match between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka in the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup at the Bristol County Ground at Bristol on Tuesday.
The toss was scheduled to happen at 3.00pm Bangladesh Time. The weather was a big concern for this game and it has been raining since morning. The covers remain on the pitch as rain continues.
The inspection at 3:30pm Bangladesh time, 10:30am local time has been postponed amid heavy rain.
Bangladesh currently have two points and have won one in their three matches while Sri Lanka have three points with one win and a tie as their last match was washed out against Pakistan at Bristol.
The two South Asian teams will be looking forward to gaining some momentum in their world cup campaign since both the teams desperately need points from this fixture in order to secure a semi-final berth, if the weather permits. Agencies
