Yatri dies of heart attack on way to Amarnath shrine

Srinagar: A pilgrim from Uttar Pradesh died due to cardiac arrest on way to holy cave on traditional Pahalgam track, a yatra official said on Tuesday.

He said 65-year-old yatri Krishen, son of Assaram, a resident of Meerut of UP suffered a massive cardiac arrest at Sheshnag.

“He was taken to a nearby medical facility where doctors said he had died of heart failure,” police sources said.
