Authorities impose restrictions in Srinagar parts

Srinagar : On Friday morning, authorities imposed restrictions in various parts of Downtown Srinagar ahead of the strike called by a separatist party Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL).

Reports said that mixed contingents of forces including Jammu and Kashmir police and CRPF have been deployed in Gojwara, Naqshbandh Sahib Shrine and Shahmi Pora areas of the city.

The deployment, as per the media reports are not allowing to move towards Jamia Masjid in Srinagar. It is pertinent to mention that people from different places of the valley to reach Srinagar to offer the Friday prayers.

Meanwhile, JRL has called for a complete shutdown on Saturday, July 13 in remembrance of the martyrs who were killed by the Dogra forces.
