Mirwaiz adds to the concerns of common people about the mosques in Kashmir

Srinagar: Dr. Farooq Abdullah was first to react when the reports came that police top brass has directed all the police stations in Kashmir to submit the list of Imams and mosque managements to them and were told to treat the matter as most urgent. Farooq Abdullah why only mosques why not temples churches, temples, gurduwaras and said that it was a serious matter for the people of Kashmir. the Police order added to panic on the ground in Srinagar and other parts that Central Government was going to do something after August 15.

On Tuesday Mirwaiz umer Farooq took to twitter and said that any move of the government to bring religious under scanner would be resisted by the people of Kashmir.

Hurriyat Conference (m) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Tuesday said that any move against the places of worship and the religious matter will be resisted strongly across Jammu and Kashmir. Mirwaiz wrote: “Concerned by Govt orders being circulated daily to create alarm among people, after the deployment of more forces. Any move against our places of worship and religious matters will be resisted strongly by all Muslims across the state. Do not deliberately vitiate the situation.”

Government of India has already told its investigative agencies especially NIA to move fast and book all the seperatitst and other people involved in the terror funding cases as soon as possible. In the connection recently Mirwaiz Umer Farooq was summoned to Delhi and was questioned by NIA. For several Fridays after he came back from Delhi, Mirwaiz avoided politics on the pulpit of Jamia mosque and talked about social issues like drug abuse. Recently when the rumours intensified about the massive crackdown in Kashmir, Mirwaiz broke the silence and told New Delhi that dialogue was the only way out as no force can solve Kashmir despute.

Now after the reported police circular to get the details about the Imaams and management committees of mosque, Mirwaiz reacted and said people of Kashmir will resist all such moves of Nee Delhi. Most of the separatist have been detained while as Syed Ali Shah Geelani is under house arrest. With Amit Shah and his team working in Kashmir, in the coming days all the suspense would be over about the rumours that Modi government has decided to strike down article 35 A.
